Are you considering purchasing mail and/or List Server Software for Windows NT or NT 2000?
If the answer to this question is yes then you should read this first. If after reading this you do purchase NT mail server software, listserver or any other products from Seattle Lab then I wish you all the luck in the world because I think you are going to need it!
Not everything I have to say about Seattle Lab NT mail server software is bad. In fact there is one facet of Seattle Lab business practices that is outstanding! The people working in Seattle Lab technical support I have had contact with are knowledgeable and give their best effort to assist with problems. There is one person in Seattle Lab technical support named John Gresbrink that stands out as someone who genuinely does his best to help solve his customers problems with his companies software. BUT.... The people working in technical support do not write the software or determine the business practices and policies of Seattle Lab.

Seattle Lab NT List Server Software for Windows Review Summary
The links above are for those that are serious in learning all they can about Seattle Lab's NT mail server software and NT listserver software products. Read the two problem summaries above If you want a brief overview of the problems I encountered in using the Seattle Lab NT mail server software (SLmail) for Windows NT and Windows 2000. If you want a more detailed explanation of the problems I had using the Seattle Lab NT mail and list server software then read the two detail links.
High maintenance NT mail server software
requiring daily constant hands on effort to keep it running
NT Mail Server remote administration locks up
sometimes when trying to save updated mail system configuration. It
sometimes locks up using up all available CPU resources.
Poor performance NT server email software
requiring more CPU resources and RAM than comparable competing products
A company that sells you it's newest NT list
server software product
and then then about a year later drops it AND STOPS PROVIDING
TECHNICAL SUPPORT for it.
A company that recommends that instead of
moving forward with improved versions of NT mail list server software
purchased from them instead recommends abandoning the product you purchased
last year and moving to a very poor virtually brain dead substitute.
A company that knowingly releases a so
called upgrade NT mail server software package (v4.0)
before it is ready. Then for the next several months it lets it's customers go
through pure hell trying to keep the NT mail server software running before
telling them to abandon it and move back to their previous version that was
and still is unsuitable for the application you originally purchased Seattle
Lab NT mail server software.
NT mail server software that in many cases (some critical)
that does not match up with either the on line documentation or the printed
manuals.
Tons of junk mail SPAM for every for every mail account you host because you are running Seattle Lab NT mail server software (SLMail).
If you want or are willing to accept the above problems and possibly worse from a software vendor that you pay good money for Windows NT server mail software and/or Windows NT list server mail software then I highly recommend you purchase the Seattle Lab NT mail server and NT list server products. This is a link directly to the Seattle Lab home page so you don't have to look around finding the company that can provide you with your own personal version of NT mail server hell.
Please note that I either did not purchase or have had no major unsolvable problems with the following Seattle Lab software:
NT telnet server
NT terminal server
NT remote administration
Remote NT <------------------ This is a good product
Terminal emulation
